    GAY PRIDE MONTH

Pride month 2023 is almost over. I can almost feel the collective sigh of reliefFor the past month secular culture has been aggressively PUSHING its godless sexuality on you and your family.

    The question is:  What now?

I’m Brad Bright and this is the GOD is the Issue podcast, where we show that GOD really is the issue in every issue.

I have great news for you! There are 4 significant things  YOU can do in response to Gay Pride Month.

But first, let’s talk about what’s going on: what HAS happened, and where we go from here.

Clearly understanding the situation is always the first step in changing culture, so, let’s look at a few examples:

    LOS ANGELES DODGERS:

Last week, the Los Angeles Dodgers publicly honored The Nuns of Perpetual Indulgence  before one of their games. These are men who dress up as provocative nunseffectively mocking every nun and Catholic around the globe.

I’m not Catholic, but I was deeply offended by the Dodger Organization. I grew up in Southern California. Dodger Blue flows through my veins — but not anymore.

Although I now live in Colorado, I’ve become a Texas Rangers fan. They are the only Major League Baseball team that hasn’t capitulated to the “Pride Night” crowd. I even ordered a Rangers T-shirtIt hasn’t arrived yet, but I will wear it without apologyI encourage all of you who are baseball fans to order a shirt or ballcap from the Rangers as well.

    Vote with your wallet.

    TRANSITIONING CHILDREN:

We now routinely hear of school administrators who start transitioning young children without their parents’ permission — or even their knowledge.

    • They believe biology is bigotry
    • They believe people who revere the Bible are haters
    • They believe they are smarter than you
    • They believe they are better than you.
    • They believe they own your kids.

    CHRISTIAN OWNED BUSINESSES:

Small businesses owned by Christians are forced to choose between their livelihood or their conscience.

Colorado has been ground zero for many lawsuits where spiteful gays punish Christians who bow down to Jesus rather than the altar of Artemis.

    Maybe I’m next.

Even the White House has taken the side of those who say “freedom of religion” must bow down before the altar of the Phallus.

    JIM CAVIEZEL:

Jim Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ,” summed it up pretty accurately, “Christian bigotry is the most accepted form of bigotry in the world.”

QUIT PUSHING YOUR RELIGION ON ME:

I routinely get a lot of two-faced finger-pointers who respond to my podcast, “Quit pushing your religion on me.”

Well, let me respond by saying,

    • Quit pushing your sexuality on me.”
    • Quit pushing your gender ideology on my kids.”
    • Quit pushing your-truth on me…
    • Keep your-truth to yourself.”

We all know THEY will not quit. We all know that what they are really saying is, Shut up! I hate you!”

    RILEY GAINES:

But I’m not going to shut upI’m more determined than ever. Riley Gaines, the female swimmer who was forced to compete against a misogynistic man, said, “When they want you silent, speak louder.”

    • They don’t value free speech.
    • They don’t respect freedom of religion.
    • In fact, they want to drive a stake through the heart of religious freedom, once and for all.

Why, because they want to win! Period!

And that means those of us who take the Bible seriously must be driven from the public square because the Bible does not support their narrative.

In order for them to get what they wantWE MUST LOSE.

    NO LONGER WIN-WIN:

There is no longer a win-win scenario. This is no longer “live and let live.” This is no longer about Tolerance.

This is about ticked off Gays, Trans and God-haters trying to destroy anyone and everyone who oppose them.

That’s why the Trans activists named their rally in Washington DC this year, Day of Vengeance.” It is a scorched earth blitzkrieg attitude intended to shock you into submission.

    ONE SIDE WILL WIN:

In this battle, one side WILL winand one side WILL lose.

So, my question for you is:

    • Which side do you want to be on?
    • Which side do you want your kids on?

If you want to be on the winning side, you need to engage. Yes, YOU!

But don’t engage alone. You won’t survive. This is a WARIn this battle, LONERS ARE LOSERS.

Let me repeat that, in this battle, LONERS ARE LOSERS.

You can’t do it alone. So first find two or three friends, then get moving — TOGETHER!

    FIGHT LIKE JESUS:

We NEED to fight. We MUST fight.  But we need to fight like JesusWhat does that even mean?

Jesus spoke truth to power but offered God’s love to the hurting.

He never compromised TRUTH, but He also never compromised LOVE.

    BLIND MAN ANALOGY:

Let me begin with an analogy to change the way you think. If a blind man steps on your toe, does it hurt?  (Yes). But do you get mad? (No).

However, if that same blind man gets into the driver’s seat of your car, and your kids are in the back seatare you going to give him the keys and let him drive? (Absolutely Not!).

In fact, you are going to do everything you can to get him out of the driver’s seat so that he doesn’t hurt your kids — or anybody else for that matter.

    What’s my point?

    • The folks behind Gay Pride Month are blind.
    • The decision makers at Budweiser, Target and Kohls are blind.
    • The schoolboard members in your community are blind.
    • The folks who own the Dodgers are blind.

But when they step on your metaphorical toe, does it still hurt? (Yes!)

But are you going to demean them in return? Are you going to return hate for hate? (Not if you are a true follower of Jesus).

Remember what Jesus said after they nailed Him to the cross“Father, forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing.”

In other words, Jesus recognized they were blind despite his agony—despite what they had done to Him.

However, are you going to continue to allow them to drive the car if you or your kids are in the back seat? (Of course not.) You are going to do everything you can to get them out of the driver’s seat.

Don’t get angry when blind people step on your toe, but work hard to get them out of the driver’s seat.

Understand, this is not an ideological conflict, this is fundamentally a spiritual battle.

    VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET:

In the case of Budweiser, Target, and Kohls, it means you VOTE WITH YOUR WALLETDon’t give them your money anymore. Ask your friends to not give them their money anymore either. That’s pretty simple.

Don’t demean gay or trans folks — they’re blind. Just don’t give them your money. Don’t empower them to stay in the driver’s seat.

In the case of the LA Dodgersor any other sports team that promotes godless sexuality, don’t give them your money. Don’t go to their games. Don’t’ buy your kids any of their gear.

    VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET.

Don’t demean gay or trans folks — they’re blind. Just don’t give them your money. Don’t empower them to stay in the driver’s seat.

BTW, that’s why I just became a Texas Rangers fan and ordered a Texas Ranger’s t-shirt. I want to vote with my wallet.

    VOTE WITH YOUR BALLOT:

In the case of your local school boardthis means you VOTE AT THE BALLOT BOX. You vote and work hard to replace schoolboard members who push their sexual and gender ideology on your kids.

In fact, I strongly encourage YOU to consider running for schoolboardYes YOU!

Or at least actively recruit someone else to run for school board — and then you have their back.

But start by attending the local schoolboard meeting — and ask other parents to come with you.

Don’t demean Gay or Trans folks — they’re blind. Just don’t let them stay in the driver’s seat.

In Psalm 109:8, David put it this way, “Let his days be few: Let another take his office.” In other words: Get him out of the driver’s seat.

If you don’t know HOW to run for schoolboard, go to LeadershipInstitute.orgThey have a new program to train anyone how to run for school board.

    PRAY—THE MOST IMPORTANT THING:

However, the MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is PRAYWho is the smartest, strongest, kindest, fairest, most Just being in the universe? God.

So why would you do anything without consulting with Him first? It’s just common sense. Pray about running for school board.

MAKE GOD THE ISSUE—2nd MOST IMPORTANT:

The second most important thing you can do is make GOD the issue — first with your kids and then with your neighbors and co-workers. Why? Because God’s existence and identity determines where each of us comes down on these issues.

Teach your kids who God is and why it matters. If you want your kids to behave as though God exists, you must teach them that He does and who He is.

The problem in public schools today is that they are taught that God is irrelevant — and then they act like it. Big shocker!

When you are talking with neighbors or co-workersit’s as simple as saying: there’s nothing wrong with same-sex-marriage — unless God exists. Do you believe God exists?

If they say “Yes” then ask“Why do you think the Bible doesn’t have anything good to say about homosexuality? …not even once. Have you ever thought about why?”

Or, there’s nothing wrong with abortion — unless God exists. Do you believe God exists? Do you believe God is Love?

If they say Yes, then ask: “Then who do you think God loves morethe mother or her unborn child?

Or, there’s nothing wrong with the Trans gender ideology — unless God exists. Do you believe God exists?

If the say yes, then ask: “Then do you really think God says, “Oops! I got another gender wrong.” “I made a mistake.”?

You can do this with any issue.

If God does not exist, nothing is wrong. Literally!

    SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST:

If God does not exist, then the basis of all life is “survival of the fittest,” and therefore, the basis of all morality must also be “survival of the fittest.”

In that case there is nothing wrong with same-sex-marriage, abortion or transitioning children.

But here is the catch. If “survival of the fittest” is the basis of morality, then why is stealing, cheating, lying, racism, rape and murder wrong?

If “survival of the fittest” is the basis of morality then Hitler got it rightHe modeled “survival of the fittest.” How do you start with “survival of the fittest” and say that racism and genocide is wrong?

    You can’t.

If God doesn’t exist, if you are not on the top of the heap, you’re toastJust like the Jews and blacks in Nazi Germany.

    LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR:

But if we start with Jesus, then we should “Love our neighbor as ourselves.” Why? Because God is love.

So, which is it, “survival of the fittest” or “Love your neighbor?” It must be one or the otherThere is no in-between.

You cannot start with “survival of the fittest” and end with “Love your neighbor.”

What you believe about God will determine which one you believe is true. That’s true of all your neighbors and co-workers.

    4 RECOMMENDATIONS:

So here are my 4 recommendations for how to respond to Pride Month:

    1) Vote. Especially vote in every school board electionBetter yet, run for your local school board, or recruit someone else to run. (LeadershipInstitute.org)

    2) Vote with your walletUse your wallet to encourage good behavior, and to discourage bad behavior. Be intentional about thinking this way until it becomes second nature.

    3) Make God the issue—in every issue. There’s nothing wrong with racism, abortion, or same-sex-marriage — unless God exists.

    4) PrayGod is smarter and stronger than you will ever be. You are foolish not to consult with Him.

If you will begin to intentionally do these 4 things, I believe we can begin to turn America around — one community at a time.

    God IS the issue.
