As a child, Condoleezza Rice spent a lot of time in church.  But as an adult, she began traveling frequently and soon stopped attending church regularly.

One Sunday, Condoleezza was in the supermarket near her home.  A man walked up to her and asked, “Do you play the piano by any chance?”

He was looking for someone to play the piano at his church.  Not only could Condoleezza play piano, but she had once planned on becoming a concert pianist!  God knew what would draw her back to Him.

Condoleezza said, “Yes” and started playing for that church.  Soon she began pursuing her relationship with Him through studying the Bible and praying regularly.

Now as the National Security Advisor, Condoleezza’s relationship with Christ plays an important role in her daily decisions.

Jesus said,

“Seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Dear friend, pursue God and stay close to Him.  Pray and read the Bible daily.  Discover opportunities God has provided.

Jesus is patiently waiting!

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.   —Matt 7:7-8
