Laura's Story

Laura saw New York City as a mission field.

When she arrived nearly twenty years ago, the Big Apple seemed like a spiritual desert.

She met Kate who wanted to begin a Bible study in her home.  Then, Laura invited Abigail.

But Abigail responded, “I’m not interested in being in a group with a bunch of blue-haired ladies.”

But she came anyway.  The group wasn’t what Abigail had imagined!  God used Laura’s insights to strengthen Abigail’s faith.

Then Liz joined the group as a seeker.  It wasn’t long before she accepted Christ.  Soon that part of New York City was blossoming for Christ!  Now, each of these women is serving the Lord in unique ways!  

Friend, God has you in a strategic place. 

Plant the truth of His Word even if you feel you’re in a spiritual desert. 

Ps 130:5

I am counting on the Lord;

yes, I am counting on Him.

I have put my hope in His word.

This I Believe:

I may wander in a spiritual desert, but I do not have to stay there.
