Day 4: What's My Job?
Because GOD IS THE CREATOR KING, I know He made me special! I can trust His plan for me!

Every day is full of opportunities ... for good or for bad.
God is in control of everything, but we are not puppets on a string. God tells us that we have choices, and those choices do affect our life. If we say "yes!" to the opportunities God gives us each day, our life will be filled with adventure!
We have opportunities to honor the King of Kings
Let's read 1 Timothy 1:17.
All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen One who never dies; He alone is God. Amen. - Discover God Bible, (NLT).
If you found out a great king and queen were coming to your house, how would you prepare for their visit?
What would you wear?
What would you say?
Sometimes we treat God like a buddy rather than the Almighty King that He is. He wants a personal relationship with us. He wants us to talk to Him about everything, but He doesn't want us to forget that He is the Creator/King and that He deserves our worship.
Opportunities to know God Better Every Day
Read Jeremiah 29:11-13.
In these verses, God is speaking to a group of people called the Israelites:
"I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me." - Discover God Bible, (NLT).
In this verse, God told the Israelites that He had a good plan for them. He also has a good plan for us.
What does He say is our job? (To seek to know Him with our whole heart.)
How do we get to know Him? (Read His word, the Bible; talk with Him; talk with others who know Him.)
Opportunities to Obey His Words
Read John 14:23.
Jesus replied, "All who love Me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and We will come and make Our home with each of them." - Discover God Bible, (NLT).
Did you have an opportunity to obey God's words today?
Our days are full of opportunities to see God work!
Joseph had many opportunities to see God work! Most people would have given up or become angry with God. Joseph never forgot that God was in charge and He can do anything! He kept doing his part, and He trusted God to do the rest.
When something bad happens, stop and ask God to help you see this as an opportunity to see Him work. You will be amazed at what He will do!
Have you ever had something bad happen, and then you saw God use it for something good?
Why does it matter?
Because God is the Creator/King, He didn't make us puppets, but He gives us opportunities every day to be a part of His perfect plan.
Talk with God and Stay Connected to the Vine!
Take a moment and honor God through praise. Praise Him for the things you love about His creation! Praise Him for creating you! Ask Him to help you do your part to get to know Him better, and look for opportunities to see Him work.
