Experience: Teachable Moments

Look for the blessings and consequences of following or not following God's instructions. Your children will probably give you many opportunities for both! Capitalize on those moments to talk about how much God loves us and gives us the right instructions to follow because He wants our best!

The Proof Is In The Numbers!

If you home school, or are helping your children with their math homework, take the opportunity to talk about "Right" and "Wrong." The answers to math problems are not relative, they are absolute. For example: 2+2 is absolutely 4. God created a world with mathematical building blocks... it is a reflection of His Righteous character and a reminder that He is always right.

You can set out blocks and ask the question, "How many blocks are there? Have them add and subtract a few times. Say, "That's right" each time or "that's not right." Talk about the fact that 2 +2 can only equal 4. The answer is either right or wrong. Now you take a turn adding the blocks and have them check you. Make a mistake on purpose getting them to say "that's not right." Talk about how God is always right. He never, ever makes mistakes.
