Popcorn and Puzzle Night

Choose a puzzle that is age appropriate. Give each person one piece of the puzzle (DO NOT LET THEM SEE THE PICTURE OF THE PUZZLE!). Ask the following questions:

Examine the puzzle piece in your hand and guess where you think your piece will fit in the puzzle. (Top right corner, bottom left corner, top, bottom, etc.).

What do you think the whole picture should look like based only on your puzzle piece?

Now, everyone lay your piece face up on the table so we all can see them.

What do you think the puzzle will look like when it's complete? (There's virtually no way to know for sure with only a few pieces to look at.)

Show the picture on the box cover--

Our life is like a puzzle piece. By itself we can't see the big picture, but God knows the complete picture of our life and how each of us fits perfectly in His plan because He created us.

Name some reasons why you're particular puzzle piece is important to the completing the picture. (There will be a hole in the picture without each piece...)

What happens if you try to force your piece into a slot it doesn't fit? (The puzzle doesn't look right or work right.)

God is the Creator/King. He created you with special talents and gifts that enable you to fit perfectly into His wonderful puzzle of life. Because He is King and in total control of everything, He will help you find your place in the puzzle and let you shine! This week we're going to explore what it looks like for Him to be our Creator/King!

Have fun putting the puzzle together and munching on popcorn! While you are working on the puzzle talk about the special qualities each person has and what you appreciate about each other.

"There exists (a) Royal King whose majesty, splendor, and awesomeness are almost indescribable. Compared to Him, no other ruler or reign is even a blip on the screen of eternity. He does not need ceremony or to drape Himself in grandeur to appear more regal. Jewels and wealth mean nothing to Him. Yes, this divine Ruler is none other than the Sovereign God."
